Race Forward

A- A A+

Join us Thursday May 25, for an evening of inspiring conversation and celebration as we learn about Corporate America’s response to achieving racial equity. We are delighted to welcome Gary Ganaway, Vice President, PACCAR Global Key Account Management at Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems, as our distinguished speaker and panelist at the  Race Forward Speaker Series: “Champions of Equity.”  Mr. Ganaway’s expertise in global affairs and diversity and inclusion initiatives makes him a powerful voice for the inclusion of people of color and women at all levels of the workforce. The Race Forward Series is sponsored by the Lorain County Racial Equity Center, League of Women Voters Oberlin Area, and Metro-Central NAACP.

The event takes place at Elyria High School starting at 5:30 pm with a community reception in honor of newly appointed principal of Elyria High School, Jodie Johnson, sponsored by the Lorain County Section NCNW. She is the first female and African American Principal and also an Equity Champion Honoree; at 6:00 pm, the Race Forward Speaker Series with Mr.Ganaway will begin.

This event falls on the 3rd Anniversary of the murder of George Floyd–A time of remembrance and rededication to racial equity and justice.
